My Thanksgiving Alphabet


And, let the peace of God rule your hearts . . . and Be Thankful.
Colossians 3:15
 
A for Avocado in yummy guacamole.
B for the boss who keeps me employed. 
C for cousins; I have 42 firsts.
D for daughters; both smart and kind.   
E for encouragement, I need lots. 
F for friends who always come through.
G for God who makes all things possible.
H for husband who goes by Husband. 
I for ice cream, vanilla is best.
J for jelly, apple on toast.
K for kinship--late father, sisters, late brothers, aunts, uncles . . .
L for light so I won't stumble in the darkness.
M for many blessings.
N for nephews, nieces and naps.
O for others.
P for pecans, peanut butter and prayer.
Q for quiet; I like to hear myself think.
R for Rose. That's my mother, 85 and lovely as her name.
S for sanity and sleep; they go hand in hand,
T for tea; hot or cold. 
U for umbrella even though I can find it. 
V for voices of those I love. 
W for writers everywhere; I only know a few. 
X for Christmas when nearly out of room.
Y for you reading my blog.  
Z for zinnias that always come back.
