My Red Handsome Dog

My golden retriever, Walker, died this evening.  Last November, he turned twelve and had grown old this winter.  Not sick--just old.

He died happy and robust. His tail wagged till the end.  

Rest in peace, my red handsome dog.

    Becky I just saw this, I am so sorry! Our pets are so beloved - especially our dogs.
    On a side note, hearty congratulations on your recent publications! What a great feeling it is to have someone like Harry in your corner, isn't it? He's the very best and here's to a long and happy career writing for the magazine :) :)
